Melody Johnson

SKILLZ Creator

With over 30 years in the martial arts, Melody has achieved many accomplishments in her Martial Arts journey, including dedicating a lot of her time researching and developing some of the best methods for teaching children.  

In 2000, Melody presented her first innovative program, the Little Ninjas, to the Martial Arts industry. Today that program is operating in over 2,000 schools.

Melody’s latest career move is the development of her age-specific curricula branded as SKILLZ. The very first of its kind, SKILLZ is getting a lot of attention for its systematic approach to skill-based Martial Arts training, and is endorsed by some of the nation’s leading child psychologists, including the late Dr. Ruth Peters. Currently there are over 1100 licensed SKILLZ schools on almost every continent.

Melody resides in St. Petersburg Florida. She has a young son named Van. 


John Salama

CPNS Instructor

John Salama is a 6th degree in ITF TaeKwonDo. He has been training since 1983. John owned his first martial art school at the age of 18, while he was in college finishing his BSEE.

Currently, John owns and operates Atlanta SKILLZ in Suwanee GA, which serves as the Headquarters school for SKILLZ Worldwide.

John has served as a SKILLZ Solution Expert for the last 3 years personally mentoring and coaching over 50+ Studio owners in implementing and/or incorporating SKILLZ into their existing program.

While leading his Atlanta SKILLZ team 9 members strong, John remains an active instructor and training expert in Tae Kwon Do, SKILLZ, and SKILLZ Fit.

In addition, he remains an invaluable innovator, collaborator, and advisor in the overseeing of new programming development like Yoga SKILLZ to meet the ever-growing needs of SKILLZ members around the world.


Jeff Sperry


Jeff has been involved with SKILLZ as a web developer since its move from paper Drill Manuals to the SKILLZ Online platform currently in use today.

Jeff brainstormed with Melody Johnson while his son was a student at her Martial Arts School to bring the SKILLZ Curriculum to other schools around the world, thus was born SKILLZConnect.

Jeff is a self-taught website developer with 10 plus years of experience and has personally developed every SKILLZ platform to date since its inception.

Currently, Jeff continues to update the SKILLZ Online platform as well as provide technical support for SKILLZ members.

He is also the Lead Website Architect at Market Muscles, where he has personally built and launched hundreds of websites for martial arts schools around the world.

Ron Graziano

Director of Marketing

Ron Graziano has been the owner and chief instructor of KYUKI-DO Martial Arts Sleepy Hollow since 2017.

Ron has spent his entire life in the service of others. His career began at 17 years old when he went on active duty with the US Army then with the US Coast Guard. He has also served as a full-time State Certified Law Enforcement Officer in California and Illinois.

His private sector experience consists for roles such as, National Director of Training, Regional Operations Director, and Chief Operating Officer. 

Ron has used his vast experience and knowledge  to gain enjoyment through helping other succeed with their goals.

In this new role serving SKILLZ Ron is looking forward to helping people learn more about the SKILLZ Child Development Program. He is committed and passionate about working side by side with SKILLZ members at all levels to make their lives easier and more enjoyable.

Murray Grys

Kelly Murray-Grys

Staff and Systems Specialist

Kelly Murray-Grys is a 6th degree black belt in Isshin Ryu Karate and has been a force in the martial arts industry for over 20 years. She is the former Director of Franchise Training for iLoveKickboxing; a multi million dollar franchise concept which she helped to grow from the beginning.

Kelly is now a high- level, leadership and confidence coach helping hundreds of small business owners, entrepreneurs, and leaders to create powerful infrastructures and environments that generate massive success.

Kelly also holds interactive confidence-building workshops that help business owners learn the skills to properly lead and manage their teams. 

She has shared the stage as a speaker with masterminds and entrepreneurs like Daymond John, JP Sears, Grant Cardone, Joe Polish, Michael Bernoff, Bedros Keuilian, Cameron Herold, Sean Stevenson, Jesse Itzler, and more.


Tae Yun

Tech Ninja

Tae Yun, a 7th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a 6th in Hapkido, has been the owner of Columbia Tae Kwon Do in the Albany, New York area since 1992.

Tae launched his school’s first website in 1997, in the early days of the internet. Because the cost to have a professionally built website at the time was well beyond his school’s budget, he taught himself how to build websites.

After decades of building websites for friends and family, in 2017, Tae started up his media consulting agency to offer digital marketing services to business clients and charity organizations.

He leveraged his love for technology and combined it with his years business experience to turn a fun hobby into a thriving second business by sharing his expertise with others.


Meg Klettke

SKILLZ Content Creator

Meg Klettke is the proud owner alongside her husband, Alex of Family Strong Sussex, a SKILLZ Lifetime Gold studio in southeastern Wisconsin.

As an advocate for today’s youth, Meg’s passion for supporting and nurturing the whole child resonates through all she contributes to SKILLZ Worldwide as a Content Creator.

With a background in traditional and alternative therapeutics, Meg is taking her working knowledge as a Certified SKILLZ Instructor and parent of two children with special needs to the next level by completing her certification through SKILLZ Worldwide to become a Certified Pediatric Ninja Specialist!

When Meg is not on the mats working with all of her amazing SKILLZ Strong Ninjas or supporting families beyond the mats, she is living life to the fullest with her husband and their two spirited ninjas… Just as it should be!


Clayton Maxcy

Lead Curriculum Specialist

Clayton is a 5th degree black belt who is also a Master in the SKILLZ  Child Development / Martial Arts Curriculum.

As an inaugural member of the program, Clayton has been training continuously since SKILLZ was launched 17 years ago.

Clayton is the General Manager and partner of On The Mat Martial Arts where he takes tremendous pride in sharing his knowledge and shaping the next generation of martial artists.

He also works diligently as the Curriculum Specialist for SKILLZ to develop new drills and lessons for SKILLZ Worldwide. 

Clayton can be found traveling to various SKILLZ facilities throughout the country to provide instruction to SKILLZ members and their staff. His knowledge and dedication to the proper implementation of the SKILLZ remains unparalleled.

Rebecca Epperson

Curriculum Specialist

Rebecca is a 4th Degree black belt and has been training in martial arts for 15 years.

Within those 15 years, she was able to switch to On the Mat and start training in the SKILLZ curriculum for about 8 years.

After a year of being at On the Mat, she began attending Instructor Certifications, learning the stages of development for children, as well as curriculum certification to learn the SKILLZ curriculum as well as possible.

She’s also a Certified Pediatric Ninja Specialist.

One of her biggest goals since starting martial arts is to own her own school one day and continue inspiring and mentoring more kids!

Georgia Jamieson

Curriculum Specialist

Georgia Jamieson is a 4th degree black belt in the SKILLZ Martial Arts Curriculum, and has been training for eleven years at On The Mat Martial Arts.

With a passion for teaching and psychology, Georgia continues to learn all she can about instructing students with the brain in mind.

Georgia is currently working towards her Associate of Arts degree, which she will get when she turns eighteen in 2022, and taking every psychology class she can take along the way.

Off of the mat, Georgia is enthusiastic about writing and drawing, and putting her own creative twist on everything she does (even though most of the time, no one asks).

Bryan 1

Bryan Hudson

In House Graphics Designer

Bryan made his start studying Advertising & Graphic Design in Chicago, Illinois & Tampa, Florida and is the former Senior Graphic Artist for NAPMA.

Bryan’s skill and expertise can be experienced through the various banners, images, and infographics he has generated for SKILL Worldwide and its members.

One of the perks of being a SKILLZ Gold member is that you are able to get (1) custom branded market asset a month for use with your program!

Happiness for Bryan equates to a fishing rod & any type of water, live music at small venues, anything sports-related & traveling to see the beauty of this world.
